When the Ways to Use It challenge said to use complementary colours, I decided it was a perfect chance to get another Christmas card made for this year's stash. I went for totally traditional red and green.
The green background is done with green Twinkling H2Os. You paint a piece of watercolour paper with your H2Os, then while the paint is still wet you lay some plastic wrap over it and pat it down. After the paint dries completely, you peel off the plastic wrap and you're left with a really interesting texture that brings out the shimmer in the H2Os.
The ornament is a Spellbinders die and I used a piece of recycled packaged for it. I'll have more cards coming up using that same packaging as it really lent itself to the ornament dies. I punched a hole in the top, threaded silver cord through it, then popped it up on dimensionals on the green background.
Added a layer of red cs and a greeting cut out with a Fancy Tag.

Great card! Good idea to use the challenge to make a Christmas card. Love that background. Thanks for telling about how you made it in your description. Also, thanks for recycling. Great use of resources and creativity! Wonderful card. Nicely done! TFS
