It's a bleah grey dull day here and I've ended up with a bleah card which I wasn't going to upload - but I've made it, and I'll send it to somebody so here it is. I was inspired by this Cherry Blossom candle. Somebody recently sent me a couple of the current USPS stamps with the cherry blossoms in Washington on them, and I'd been looking up all about it.
The base is a 4 3/4" square brocade finish card blank, not sure where it came from.
I used the largest Lacy Circles cut from watercolour paper and sponged with Tumbled Glass and Broken China. I'd been thinking of stamping bamboo over it and using Perfect Pearls, wish I had. I stamped the sentiment, then added a chipboard branch inked with brown ink and embossed with clear EP, and some blossoms made with two different flower punches and white card sponged with Spun Sugar. Panel is popped up on foam dots, then I added Liquid Pearls to the flower centres and round the edges of the scallops.

Sabrina, this is lovely! I almost selected the same for inspiration. I love your cherry blossoms, so delicate and pretty!

I don't think there is anything blah about your card. It will bring back many memories of Washington or Japan for many stampers.
If it is any consolation, it is a dark, gloomy rainy day here in the Denver area. I can just see the weeds in the garden growing before my very eyes.

I lingered a long time over that cherry blossom candle! I love your take on it with the punched out blossoms. The Liquid Pearls around the edge of the scallop circle were a very nice accent.

I love this! The inspiration candle is awesome and the first thing I saw that struck me, but I needed to get a birthday card done and has flower I wanted to use. I love the chipboard branch and delicate flowers on your pretty card!
