Complementary colors! I love the high contrast I get with complementary colors and I use them frequently. The images are a sneak peek from DRS Designs.
I chose green and red for my colors and I don't think it looks as Christmasy as it sounds. The trumpet player was stamped three times, colored with makers and the I sponged the ground and cut the top in a straight line with top halves of the band members out of the box. The music background was sponged as well and I attached this on the top half of my 5.50 x 4.25 card. The band players were added on the bottom and a fourth (red pants) trumpet player was cut out and elevated slightly. The sentiment was split onto banners which were sponged with the die still in place.
It's funny, but I realized these guys were wearing gloves after I colored their sleeves and hands, so I added the line so they wouldn't be wearing gloves. I was in the marching band all through school and I can tell you from experience, gloves would have made it impossible to play, lol. Especially with the E flat clarinet I played (about half the size of a regular clarinet).
Thanks so much for looking! It will be on my blog in just a bit: The Write Stuff

Great job with the complimentary colors Julie!! Your card really pops in the gallery. Also, good job turning those hands into hands without gloves. That would seem awfully difficult to play with them on.
