This was made for the Less is More challenge. This week the theme is a single layer card using three stamps.
The flower was stamped with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers: flower - Cool Grey 00,0,2, center – YR09,07,04,02,00, outside shading -B41
The sentiment was stamped with the same Memento ink.
The flower was masked off using a sticky note. I cut the mask years ago and itÂ’s been stored on a re-purposed sheet that labels come on which I insert into a page protector.
Using a pencil, make three marks to use as a guide for placing a sticky note mask about 1 ¼” from the edge. The Herringbone image was stamped with StazOn - Jet Black. I place the cardstock onto the inked rubber as it lies image side up on the work surface, cover with a larger scrap paper and press down firmly over the area and doing a little extra pressing between flower petals and mask edge. Remove the mask and erase the pencil marks.
Hold the card up to a light source and trace the flower lines on the back side as a guide to avoid the flower when dry embossing two line from the flower to the bottom edge and three lines from flower to the top edge.
The card takes approximately fifteen minutes to create.

Love this crisp CAS card, and it's so versatile! What a great way to create the look of designer paper with stamps. Wish I'd have had this kind of inspiration when I was just starting out in the stamping world with very limited supplies. Into my faves she goes.
