This still isn't what I have in mind, but it's my third attempt and I think I'm just too tired to pull together what I'm really trying to achieve.
I loved the Red Wren items. I enjoyed looking at the Marimekko stuff too - I once worked in a Finnish shop here in Dublin, and loved looking through the Marimekko catalogues.
A2 blue/grey Bazzill base embossed with Polka Dots, edges sponged with Fired Brick.
Paper is SU Welcome Neighbour, edges sponged with Fired Brick. I stamped the ODBD verse with Versafine Black, the orange spray with Wild Honey distress ink and the blue spray with the bird with markers. Added lace along the top, a layer of chipboard for strength and popped it up on foam.
