I love birds on my cards. This isn't remotely what I was planning when I read the challenge this morning, but I got a stinky headache in work and went to bed when I got home. With just a short while at my desk I'm using a stamp I had out yesterday thinking to use it with the sketch challenge.
A2 card, base layer is Bazzill embossed with Spots and Dots, white strip embossed with Swiss Dots.
Suzy's Zoo image stamped on Bristol Board and coloured with distress inks, and Twinkling H2Os for the water as the only colour I had which would match the Bazzill. Cut with Deckle Rectangles and edges sponged with Spiced Marmalade. Silver Stickles on the water splashes and round the edge of the card, Glossy Accents on the beak and feet. Spellbinders duck embossed with Swiss Dots. I still haven't worked out a way I like of adding an eye - one day I'll get there, but it certainly isn't going to be tonight. I know this needs a sentiment too, but I'm heading for an early bed.

Sabrina, this little duck splashing just warms my heart....when I say adorable, I MEAN it! It makes me think about enjoying the small and simple things in life. Which is kinda hard to do with a headache...hope that gets better and quick too. Beautiful colors!

Sabrina, this is adorable. I have been playing the song "rubber duckie" on my piano. I know that my practicing the song drives my husband crazy because the other day he called my cell phone from across the room, because he knew I would have to get up and go get it. Last night my oldest daughter brought a group of her music friends to the house. I played it for them and they all sang along. That is what I thought of when I saw your card!! I think I am close to my allotted words for a comment. LOL!!

I sure hope your sleep makes your headache go away. I wonder if it is from allergies, or a stressful day. I love that little Suzie's Zoo duck, I have it myself. Your card turned out great to spite how you're feeling.
