I embraced the spirit of Korin's sketch and used only scraps for my card today, except for the Bazzill for the base layer.
A2 card, all papers are Kaiser Kraft Tiny Woods, Bazzill for base layer, watercolour paper for image.
Young Vermillion stamped with Versafine Black and coloured with distress inks, then sponged. All panel edges sponged with Forest Moss. I cut a foliage spray with a Sizzix die and added little punched berries. Natural raffia tied into bows and a button went in the bottom corner, and a Woodware sentiment in the top corner.
I think last time I used this image I used the colouring for an adult bird - this time I took care to study the juvenile plumage!

Oh, my, this is *LOVELY*! I love your bird (and that you know enough about them to differentiate between adult and juvenile plumage!). I also love your treatment in the lower right corner. So very pretty! Thank you for sharing!
Warmly,
Sara

I love your precious young vermillion!! I love the colors that you used on this card and your scraps of paper. I always think that it is wonderful to be able to use bits and pieces of what's laying around. I love the leaves and your berries also. Very pretty card.
I keep seeing color combos that are fabulous, but I think your card is especially eye appealing. Your color on your image blends so well with the dp you have chosen. Very well done.
