Joan, picked an amazing technique to "remind" us about today-Paper Piecing. I stamped the magnolia image from Mark's Finest Papers set called "MOTHER'S MAGNOLIAS" I stamped it a total of 4 times, on 3 different scraps of coordinating pink dp. I left two flowers as the base. The other two flowers I cut apart every petal. I then glued them everyother one on the base flowers. I popped the centers of the flowers up with craft foam. The base for my card was done doing a technique that Joan shared almost 2 years ago -Pounded Flowers. I altered her technique a little by dry embossing the pounded flowers cardstock after it dried. I really like how the sentiment (from Inspired Stamps) looks on this card. I stamped the sentiment on a triangle scrap of white cardstock. I had intended to cut it and make it rectangle. I set it down on top of the base to reach for my scissors, and I decided I liked the triangle look so I left it as it was. I finished the card by stitching the panels down and adding want2scrap bling. I love their bling so much!
