I was excited to find out Heather T is the featured stamper today, I follow her blog and have many, many of her cards in my fav's - I just love the look of masking and sponging and so admire her crisp style and how she creates dimension on a one layer cardÂ…there are some really remarkable scenes in her gallery that I could never hope to come close to CASEing - I chose this card today.
I changed the rectangle to a square and masked with post-it-notes, leaving a 3/4 in. white border, then sponged with various SU inks inside. I also changed the colors and images, using mostly Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps to create a collage look. Heather recently did such a collage on her blog and HERE it is.
I stamped with Versafine Black Onyx because it gives a good strong image, however since I was using cardstock with a slight linen texture, it wasn’t as strong as it could be. I thought that the “God Bless You” inside the postal mark was sentiment enough.

This card is gorgeous. Great background colors and beautifully composed. Just the right amount of white border. That one embellishment is perfect at the card's focal point.

I admire anyone who can create a pretty collage, and this one is just lovely. I especially like the pearl you added to the postage image. Your sponging is wonderful.
