I saw this idea here on this site and it was used as a gift card holder. I am getting my haircut today and wanted to take something to my hair dresser and thought of this idea for a candy bar. It is just a regular #10 envelope. I'm sorry I don't know who the poster was that originally posted this idea but thanks.

What an inexpensive way to wrap a candybar! Love the idea, but how does it stay closed if they are the same dimensions? Do you just overlap it and it stays closed by itself? Thanks

Sorry, I didn't think to post directions. I hope this does justice to the person I learned it from. Seal the envelope. Stamp envelope if desired. Cut the envelope it at so the bottom portion is about 3". Put the bottom portion through a crimper and that shrinks it enough to slide inside the top portion. I don't know how to describe this but you put the bottom portion into the crimper so that the ridges go up and down not across (the flap portion of the envelope goes in first, i guess is another way to describe it.) You can tie the ribbon package style or up and down to hold in the bottom more securely. Hope this helps.
