Here's a gift I put together for May's Creative Crew Catalog Focus Challenge. Care to play along? Here are the details: "Time to Blossom! When I think of May, I think of May flowers. We have lots of flowers in the catalog: stamps, punches, paper flowers, Big Shot dies, buttons. Use any or all of these in a project." I wanted to put together a fun baby shower gift, so I decided to make a bouquet of paper flowers. What do you think?
I've had my eye on making some of the flowers ever since I got the Island Floral Bigz Die many, many months ago. I checked out a ton of blogs with instructions and remembered how to make them. Phew! I used my Big Shot, Island Floral Bigz Die, Blushing Bride card stock, Bashful Blue card stock, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and wooden skewers. I even spritzed the flowers with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz for some extra sparkle. Unfortunately I don't have a specific blog to link, but do a Google search for the Island Floral Bigz die, and you'll find plenty of help and ideas with this great die.
I lined the jar with baby onesies and then stuffed the center with tissue paper so the skewers would stand up. I then wrapped the jar with Daffodil Delight 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added my bauble and tag.
