Yay, I finished before the end of the day! Lots going on with this card! I played with Alcohol inks to make the background on the Vellum, then I heat embossed it with the leaves stamp. For many of you, I am sure this is no biggie! But that was the first time for me to use Vellum with either technique.
Next, I need to thank the lovely and talented Arizona Maine! She made me the lovely Fluer di Lis die cut. She made it before I purchased mine a couple of weeks ago. So I have been looking for a good way to use it. Thank you again, Angela!!!
I also did a little dry embossing for the panel going across the card. And lastly, I made a little tag.
Thank you so much for a great sketch, Korin!

Beautifully done, Kathleen, the green bg is so brilliant and vivid (great job with those techniques!) yet the little ladybug just pops with color too - so lovely against the crisp white!

So pretty Kathleen! the green inked and stamped panel really pops with the white background - and the red of the lady bug adds a great splash of color!

WOW, I love your alcohol inks technique!! I haven't done that with vellum either. I don't even know if I have any alcohol inks. I just ordered a bunch of regular re inkers as they are called. Your card turned out vibrant and beautiful!! I love the leaves. I am a big leaf lover as well. Lastly, I love the Ghandi quote about kindness being more important than being right. So much seems to be about protecting one's ego. Ghandi was such a wonderful peace filled individual.
Thanks for visiting my gallery with your comment and quote. I see you are already making friends like the talented Angela. Sweet!! :>)
