This is for the Technique Lovers Challenge (TLC374)-Stamping Nostalgia! I dug way down into my oldest supplies and into my memory for some of the first techniques I learned beyond simply stamping and coloring. This is the lizard from the SU Southwest set. One of the first techniques I learned was layering ink onto paper light shades to dark to create an aged look (direct to paper or DTP). I stamped the lizard in clear embossing ink and heat embossed with verdigris powder, to give an effect of a fossil or petroglyph on a cave wall. I cut the image out with deckle-edge scissors and layered it on some corrugated red paper, wrapped with twine and finished with some sealing wax stamped with a swirl from another ancient SU! set, Celestial Skies. These SU sets are really golden oldies, I think both have been retired since before the turn of the millenium!
