This week's colour challenge (#371) is for Whisper White, Sahara Sand, and Basic Grey, with stripes for dessert. I know, I know, yellow isn't supposed to be in there, but can you blame me? This card really needed a bit of sunny yellow for the sentiment to make sense! I forgot about stripes, but I added just about every other shape on there... As for the sentiment, I tore it off the end strip from some Authentique patterned paper. I like the quote as something of a personal affirmation, but it's not something I would typically put on a card to give to someone- it would probably come off as being a bit snarky! Maybe I'll put it up on my wall...
I heat embossed the bubblewrap stamp with a random sprinkle of white embossing powder, then embossed the arrow in pewter. As for the main image, I heat embossed the biker in white, then stamped around him in Sahara Sand, Basic Grey, and black using assorted stamps. Since he needed a bit more definition around the edges, I dabbed around him with some black ink using a microfibre cloth and my finger, which made an interesting textured kind of pattern. I wiped the ink off the biker with a Q-tip, but enough of the black ink was left that the biker looks more Sahara Sand-ish than white.
