To make this owl image I inked the stamp with wild honey and rusty hinge distress inks, huffed and stamped on textured paper. After cleaning the stamp, I inked just portions of it with a walnut stain distress marker, huffed, and then carefully stamped over top of the first layer. I added a little more marker to the eyes and then shined them up with glossy accents. (It took two coats because of the textured paper.)
This is supposed to be a guy card and my DH says I shouldn't have added the "bow" which is actually a knot! This created great debate among us and the four kids over what is a bow and what is a knot. I say it has to have loops to be a bow! At any rate, this was already glued in place, so it's staying regardless of whether it's a bow or not.
What do you think?

Maybe the next time we have our ATC gathering at your place, we can give Jeff a lunchtime demonstration on the differences between bows and knots! Cool card - love how the owl looks on the textured cardstock.
