Today I was playing with my new dies and came across some simple DP that inspired me. I used just a bit of it on the card then die cut coordinating flowers for dimension. The large flower is Whimsy Circle by memory box. I was going to piece in each little bit of beige paper but sort of lost courage (not to mention I was limited on time). Instead I traced the outside of the die and hand cut a backgroundÂ…much easier. Another die is the Tilda Buckle by poppystamps. On that one I DID piece in the beige paper to the open spaces and it was easier than I thought. IÂ’ll do it again. The blue flower was made from the inside cuts of the Whimsy Circle. The little orange flower is the MS Cosmos punch. Die-namics Leafy Flourish is also in the background.
For the sentiment I tried out a new ink (because I loved the color!), Donna Salazar MixÂ’d Media inx in indigo. I knew I wanted to emboss the sentiment so I wanted a nice pigment ink. OH MY is this a squishy ink. I canÂ’t wait to use it on other projects but for a sentiment it was a challenge to get a fine line (it took lots of practice on scrap paper). Luckily it came out nearly perfect on the card and I was really pleased.
Thanks for Looking!

Lisa, for all the stuff that falls out when you die cut I call it SCRAPNEL. Reading about the making of your card was fascinating! The end result is just FANTASTIC! I love those colors.
