I was SO excited to be asked to make a sample for this week's Inspiration Challenge! I loved the site, , Greenheart Shop, so much, I couldn't settle on just one piece of inspiration - so I made three! This card is inspired by this awesome Pop Top Cuff Bracelet- who knew you could do that with pop tops? I was also inspired by this Bike Chain Pendulum (gears are so cool!)
I used the large Gears stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils to create my background on this card. I used their Black Matte Embossing Paste to create a raised-gear starting point. Once it dried, I daubed on some Versamark ink and then some Metallic F/X powders to create a purple and silver color scheme. I stamped my Gear Head stamp (by Stampendous) using black ink, and then rubbed Versamark ink all over the panel. I applied more Metallic F/X powders with a brush until it got the amount of sparkle and sheen I wanted (I love how it makes it look like I stamped it in purple ink!). To finish off the card, I tied a big piece of purple ribbon in a knot, adding a few pop tops before the final loop. Oh - and I stuck a feather in there just for fun
