Boy, have we had some rainy days lately. Yesterday I was fortunate enought to be one step ahead. Not today! It poured on me at each and every pool I went to. THEN I get home to see that the pool and my house are about to be flooded. YIKES! Good thing I have a super DH who is always prepared. I hooked up the pump he has at the ready and disaster was avoided...now my card....
With all the rain, I was inspired to make a rainy day kind of card. Plus, I did some "faux" ruffles on the umbrella. Please don't send the challenge police after me!
The litte duck is from Rosie's Roadshow, the ants are G-Rated. Stamped and clear eb them both. Then proceeded to sketch the scene around. Colored them with Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils.
The storm clouds were sponged using RR cloud stencil, and the sky sponged with bashful blue.
Layered my panel with dark green cs them put on a white card. Added a clear faux dewdrop on the umbrella top and popped up a birdie I found on my desk.
Well, the rain is done and the sun is out. Guess I'll go roll up the pump and hose..... TFL :0)

OMG, I am sooo impressed that you drew the scene around your cute little duck and ants....you amaze me, gf!!!! I love this adorable scene...you did an awesome job with the rain and umbrella...no challenge police for you, Cathy...the faux ruffles look AWESOME!!!!!!!!
This is so cute! I love the ants with their little umbrellas! The sky is awesome and I'm very intimidated by the fact that you drew the rest of the scene! You certainly don't need stamps! Well done!

Cute and fun....as always, Cathy. Love your rainy day scene. Glad you "saved" your pool from disaster. Sounds like you were one step from building an ark!
