This is a picture of my husband Kenny trying to keep things in order at my house while I go through Medically Induced Menopause (LOL). The doctor said I could get some hormones when things got a little rough and poor Kenny is practicing talking like me so he can call in an order now. This is the exact hymn he has been singing over and over like a prayer to God to deliver him too.
My lack of focus really has been an issue so I really am going to request some hormones on Monday at 8:00 when the doctor's office opens. Yesterday, I left the refrigerator door open a bit and left for 5 hours (with Kenny) to go looking through antique/thrift stores (see the cool card holder my card is sitting on? It is a bicycle wheel on a stainless steel stand - it is the coolest thing...oh yea, back to my story). When we got home, everything in the fridge was room temp. Poor Kenny, he started to flip out and thought better of it (he wasn't sure which Nancy personality would answer back...).
The Twisted Sister Challenge this week is to make
something in brown with one other color, use two dies or punches, and use ribbon or twine. I think I got this one right.
Hey there Twisted Ones - hugz to you all!!!

This is SWEET, Nancy!! Still laughing about Kenny practicing your voice, and singing for his deliverance !!! Sorry it is disturbing the BOTH of you, but bless your hearts, just remember - this hormone thing, too, shall pass!!
This was a brilliant idea to stamp the MAN on the music that Kenny is singing - love the torn edges and everything sponged with brown hues - even your leaves look fabulous! Pop it onto that Fleur de Lis rectangle die and add a gorgeous flower - and you are cooking up a mighty fine western card - with flair! Your card - and your work - SINGS with JOY! LYMI!

I think Kenny deserves a "Hang In There" card Nancy. Your story is so funny and Kenny must be a pretty good guy to put up with all this. I just love this b/g stamping and zee cowboy which I'm sure is Kenny. Your sponging, nestie framing, flower and raffia all came together to make a magnifico card. I hope the Nancy I'm writing this comment to is okay with it as I don't want to bear the wrath you will place upon me. Remember me? Lil' Fruitcake?? Or, was that the other Nancy? I'm so confused. I'm 4 years post menapause and may be getting some hormones so I can remember who I am and where I'm going. So, I'm in zee menopause sisterhood with you!

You crack me up! LOL. What a wonderful narrative and yes, your creation is amazing and doesn't even hint at any lack of focus! Your new find with reclaimed bicycle parts is very cool indeed!

The title of this wonderful card is the hook, the card, Beautiful!! I love the images that you combined and the way it works so well with the Fleur di Lis die cut frame!
I totally understand the mood swings, let's see, how many personalities do I have... and the lack of concentration. It's all men's fault, you know, menopause, menstrual, woman. What is it, mens hormones go out of whack, they get a sports car or a big truck, us women, we cry, rage, forget and have hot flashes. There's something wrong here.
Anyhow, I hope you get what you need to help you through all of this.

Great card! You story and everyone else's are just hilarious!! Best of luck to you and hubby! I'm 8 years out from menopause. It stalked me early -but for the most part, I did not even notice! My husband does not realize how lucky he is!;)
Hope you are feeling better soon!! Hot flash hugs to you!
Oh my gosh I cracked up at just the title of the card!! Been there Nancy so I know how awful it can be. Have you had the hot flashes from you know where? The hormones help me a lot.

Nancy, you are too, too funny. I LOVE this card and that beautiful flower. Glad you didn't stick this card in that heated up refrigerator....or did you? Poor Kenny!!! He must have not known this was coming...probably in shock over his absent-minded Nancy. I suppose you can use that as an excuse for certain things you may mess up on....like heading to work in your house shoes and housecoat or some such thing.

Nutzi-your menopause has not effected you sense of style. This card is gorgeous. Love the cowboy stamped on the music sheet-how beautiful. The flower is over-the-top stunning. Poor Kenny singing to himself-just think he will experience a "male" menopause himself soon....lol Just watch television they talk about it all the time in commercials about low testosterone levels. My DH has a tone of voice he uses when I know my menopausal symptoms are creeping out. It's the way he says "Yes Dear" or "I know Dear" that I know I am in one of my "moods". When he says it it triggers me to laugh and catch myself. One thing is for certain, you know it is just another cycle in this thing called life and you are never alone with experiencing it. Thanks for sharing your story!!!
