I have never done a spotlight card before and I kinda understand the how, but couldnt figure out where is best. LIke how do you know what part of a picture you want to highlight. I picked the little birds here becuase it was a pretty spot, but looks wierd in the center of the tree. Maybe I should have done around the deer. Maybe its a backward look...the the sunset is in front of the tree instead of the other way around. I did it in green first and looked weird, so I sponged the stamp in yellow and orange . I thought it might work because then kind of like a sunset...but still weird to me...maybe its just the whole idea...if any ideas I am soooo open...:0)
I used the bg paper is form a invitation set all flat so not layered in b & w. I just stamped out the tree and did the spotlighting part. Cut the tree out with the nestie, made little slits in my paper for the ribbon...which was yellow and i did a bit of sponging of orange to match the highlighted part. And like most CAS cards I thought the corners seemed bare so I added yellow brads and sponged them a bit too orange to match.
Thanks for visiting...:0)

I have never done a spotlight in an image that wasn't a line drawing. I think you picked a hard image, but it's really very pretty and so interesting, Wendy!
