I was so happy to see Sylvia selected as the Queen for the Day this week. That girl so deserves it! She is super sweet, leaves lots of sweet comments, loves SCS, makes wonderful creations, and participates in tons of challenges. I can't say enough good things about her - she is a Queen (in all the best ways).
The flower on my card matched so much better late Friday night and that sparkly Stickles on the button looked even then too. Oh well, I am sending to my MIL and her house is super dark so she will see it the same way I did when I made it! LOL!
I play cards with a lovely group of women headed up by the Sassy Scrapper. She gives us enough stuff to make 5 cards every month. I just can't make the cards like everyone else - I feel it stiffles my creativity to do a card just like everyone else. So, I take all the pieces home and I mix them up and come up with my own creations. I am telling you this because I made most of this card from my Sassy Scrapper collection and I have no idea who made any of the pieces or where they came from.
Sylvia - many congrats and hugz!!! You are the best!!!

Hey Sister, I totally agree with every word of blessing you gave to sweet Sylvia, and your card is a tribute to her work, and your ingenuity! Yeah, playing cards, 52-pick up style! Lol- I love that you mix it up my friend. Your textures are delish (to the bazillionth degree) and your lil Eater tag is sweet. Your MIL will love this. Still praying for her. LYMIMIMIMI

Oh Nancy thank you for all of your kind words. Your card is pretty. I like your flower and I like all the textures on here. That little white loopy border is soooo pretty. Who makes that? Your little Easter sentiment is so cute. This is a lovely card and I am so honored that you made this. Thank you so much. Your MIL will love it.

Nancy, this is gorgeous! What a lovely tribute to the QFTD! I love how you take the elements from your card group and make them your own. So creative!

Nancy - you are too funny!!!! First off, the colors look great together, and the fact that you mix'n'match is a tribute to your creativity. This is a beauty - and a great CASE of Sylvia's creation. Love it!

I know exactly what you mean - I have to have my "stuff" come together. That's where the "magic" happens; or, at least we hope it does. I've heard so much mentioning of chocolate lately that I do think you are are chocolaholic who has had intervention. Shall I slip you some in another card. You can take 1 lb. of chocolate, then the tylenol pm and sleep it off. Just thinkin...Your card turned out great and I love your flower and double loop border punch! Take care sis!

What a pretty card, Nancy, and doing it your own way is good. I hope this cheers your MIL. I know she loves getting cards from you and I'm sure they are day brighteners.

Happy belated Easter. This card has the colors of spring and the floral elements that go along with it. What happen to the days of bringing Mom a plant for Easter??? I was waiting for my Hycintha or my Lily or Azalea and no go....lol
Me thinks you walk to the beat of your own drum. I tell my husband he has that type of personality. He does his own thing and that's it when it comes to dress, woodworking, and card playing...lol He wore a white suite on our cruise and a hat to match. Very unusal but everyone stopped him to say how classy he was dressed. We had so much fun-we even got on cruise TV...lol We were celebrities during the cruise as everyone stopped us and said they saw us. So go ahead and do your own thing-life is so much more fun that way!!!!!!
