I'm currently in love with all things patchwork, and wondered if I could translate it successfully to a card. This design was quite easy despite appearances.
In co-ordinating papers, punch 5 squares, arrange & adhere on a larger cream square. Draw faux sewing machine stitches around all the edges with a black fineliner. Stamp the greeting. Then dry emboss the whole patchwork piece.
Mat the embossed patchwork piece on 2 more layers of DP. Adhere the entire ‘quilt’ to card front.
Die cut the bird, draw faux blanket stitch around the edges. Cut a slightly curved branch, and 4 leaves, outline in black pen. Arrange on the large cream square. Punch 3 small hearts, draw blanket stitches around edges, adhere in place.
Tip: finish all edges with a copic marker or ink.
: choose DP with tiny pattern designs.

I've been quilting all morning and decided to take a break, have a cup of tea and check out SCS. I need to get busy making some cards before the weekend is over and was looking for some inspiration. Your card drew me in OF COURSE! You've done a very lovely job of meshing the two: card making and quilting. I am truly inspired by your work and shall have to give this a try. Thank you for sharing your creative gifts.
