So, I'm combining a bunch of challenges here. I had so much fun with the patina technique from yesterday's challenge that I decided to give it a go with today's color challenge combo. I just got back from my first overseas trip to Ireland and it whet my appetite for more. I see my friend Sabrina is heading there for real, but I'll have to dream of Paris for now. My kids have had me on a coffee kick so I've not been hitting the tea parties too much, but who could resist tea in Paris???
I started my patina panel by inking the negative side of the Vintage Wallpaper ef with Melon Mambo before embossing. I then sponged first the Concord Crush, then the Elegant Eggplant over the raised areas. I brushed my Versamark pad over this and added some pewter embossing. To take some of the shine off, I sponged over the embossing with eggplant again. I created my collage panel with images from French Foliage and Established Elegance as well as adding a $1 bin Fleur de Lis. These were all stamped in the challenge colors except for the dress form which is in stamped off Basic Grey...used the rock'n roll technique on some. All the edges are distressed with the cutter kit distressing tool and panels were crumpled and sponged. I'll need to be saving up my $$ if I ever want to see Paris for real so I used some of my bargain-hunter finds: purple organza and floral spray pearls from the thrift store, charms scavenged from a clearance bracelet, the striped piece is from some Big Lots notecards and the hemp is also $1 find from WM. Maybe if I keep "saving" money making my own cards we'll be able to afford another trip someday!!!

Oh, you did a beautiful job of blending those colors around!! I like that you used yesterday's challenge also. You really got a nice result with all of those challenges.
WOW!! This is fabulous! I love the collage panel and your faux patina BG is wonderful! I see a bit of shine here and there and it really adds! Your distressing, charms and string pearls are perfect! Very artistic card!
