This week the featured stamper challenge was to feature ourselves...I chose to CASE this card Birthday Time by mamaxsix at Splitcoaststampers (which was also done for a technique challenge) as I'm trying to build up some Father's Day cards for Operation Write Home. I also thought of this ef when I saw today's technique challenge to try out the Faux Patina look. I inked the negative side of my ef with River Rock then embossed the white cs in the Tim Holtz Pocket Watch ef. I then sponged Island Indigo, Always Artichoke and Soft Suede on the raised parts. I used Color Box Verdigris ink and some clear as well as a bit of mixed metallic eps for the embossing. I used smaller circles in my sketch to show off more of the bg which I framed with Always Artichoke. I added a crumpled Artichoke seam binding accent and adhered it to a Soft Suede base. My images and words were inked with Soft Suede and then had Indigo, Artichoke and Suede thumped on before stamping.
