I used this week's sketch layout, which I thought was appropriate since Korin is one of the sketch hostesses here!
I colored the whole image with black, then stamped on a scrap paper, then I only colored the bird again in black. I really like how it makes the bird really stand out.
I am trying to use this image in a way that is not just for Christmas. It's such a beautiful bird that I hope that whoever receives this can appreciate it as a Birthday card and not think about Christmas.

Just beautiful. I was struck how the main image is in black and the color comes from the rest of the card. The double stamping of the bird does make it stand out. Good idea! Your take on the sketch challenge is nicely done! TFS

What a lovely card to honor Korin, Trish. I noticed her bird image on several of her cards. Love the shades of magenta you used on your CASE and incorporating the SC from this week.
