This morning when I saw the ways to use it challenge I was a bit bummed because I don't have rub-ons....never really was a fan of them so I figured I would just ogle what everyone else did. Then sweet Melody posted the directions for making your own rub-ons. Well this intrigued me so I had to give it a try.....sadly it was a fail. My rub-on wouldn't rub-off! I decided to make something with my failed rub-on attempt so this is what I came up with.
The dud text background rub-on was created using the Easter Blessings sentiment digi set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
I drew the image (mainly because I have been wanting something like this for a while), scanned it, cleaned it up and printed it onto cardstock. Then I created a reverse mask with a Nestie circle so I could sponge a sun and sky onto my image. The rest came together pretty easily.
So there you have it....a failed attempt at a rub-on, but a worthwhile card none-the-less .
Thanks for looking!

Hmmm......I'll have to check that out. Seems you didn't have any more success than I did! (But you were braver!)

Korin, you might think of your card as a "dud" in one way, but it REALLY is a wondeful Easter card that is MOST successful in another way....showing the true meaning of Easter. It is lovely.
