Well, I'm back from my trip to Ireland and finally feeling human again, though I still have a lot of catch-up to do around the house! I think I'm a bit rusty...1st card attempt didn't go so well, so I went with a favorite technique for the 2nd. The button in the top right was one of a set of buttons that was the inspiration for my bedroom colors at the last house! I love these colors together...they are some of my all time favorite colors...and went with the Inset/Inlaid Embossing technique that looks great in a mix of colors like these. I cut the smaller circles first then a larger one around this cut out to make the rings. All the circles get glued to the base then embossed in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I then cut a frame of Chocolate Chip and layered it all on a base of River Rock. I took a piece of Chocolate Chip satin ribbon and pleated it and stitched. I adhered my white Baker's Twine over this (I realize now that this no longer makes as much sense since I moved the location of my button) I used markers to ink up my stamp then used the chocolate chip marker around the edges of both the white and the Baja scallop circles.
