My daughter needed another first communion card for her husbandÂ’s niece and I donÂ’t have religious images due to the charities steering away from that theme so these Thomas Kinkade images always work well for personal religious cards. These images were sold by the first Cornish Heritage Farms and if they are still available I donÂ’t know where since the new CHF doesnÂ’t carry the TK line.
The images stamp with a faded out appearance in the distance. The first pink border is part of the rubber stamp image and I trim right up to it using the Perfect Square from the company listed in the next paragraph.
I used the Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting to cut the even borders. Use any brand of craft knife for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site.
The flourish is from Cheery Lynn and cut it apart to position it to image panel. The flowers were embossed using a metal ball stylus and a folded paper towel for cushion. This is a very quick procedure that adds nice dimension. All pieces were glued to the card using AleeneÂ’s tacky glue.
Other tools used are Cuttlebug and the embossing folders Swiss Dots and Love Language. Martha Stewarts border punch and Scor-Pal to add the embossed lines.
The envelope was embossed with the Cuttlebug Just my Type dots design and also scored top and bottom of the design with the Scor Pal.
