When Michele posted the Scrapbook Variety Challenge Forums at Splitcoaststampers this week with the theme "Let's Celebrate" I knew I had the perfect photos to use, brand new from this week. I couldn't include green in my layout, but I'm totally thrilled with how my double spread came out!
I used the layout on page 14-15 of the April 2012 Scrapbooks, Etc because it includes many photos - and I had many photos of this event to include in the memory! Background paper is from the Attic Boutique digital kit, with layers of Night of Navy and Marina Mist digital cardstock. There are no stamp brushes used in this layout. I found a png file of the Relay logo online that I layered over the photo of my son in a wheelie. Embellishments are silver brads and hodgepodge hardware, and the Curly Label punch.

So, am I imagining things, or were there more photos of these pages up last night??? As I said then, I love the page and the contrasting b/w pic--and the quote!

There were more photos, I just deleted the rest! LOL I decided that the black and white photos added the balance to make the pages not quite so "busy". I didn't want 5 pages or a whole book for this memory, but I didn't want to leave things out either! I found the png of the logo online, as well as that wonderful photo of the medal itself. I will print the wheelie photo in color and frame it for Ben's room.
Thanks for your feedback on my work. I am learning a lot from you and your work!
