Today's inspiration site features many beautiful hand fans -- from simple to very decorative. After looking through many of the choices, I settled on this beautiful fan because of the pretty flowers (which look much like dogwoods), the rich colors, and the gold touches. After sponging a lighter blue cardstock with two shades of TH blues, I crimped it to emulate the fan-folds. (This might qualify for yesterday's Free4All challenge!) The dogwoods are stamped in Versamark and embossed with detail gold embossing powder. I added the gold trellis work in place of the gold flourishes on the bottom section of the fan. IRL the dogwoods are not quite that pink. (I'm not the best photographer!)

Your card is beautiful Lois!! I like the darker blue moving into the lighter. The dogwood flowers do look just like the flowers from the one you used as inspiration. Great job!!

Lois, what a beautiful card from your inspiration fan. I agree, they do look like dogwood on the fan. Your dogwood is so beautifully colored and I like the trellis border.
