It's easy to become obsessed with denim. I never owned a pair of jeans until college (early 70's), but when I first worked in retail in the early 90's, my first purchase was a denim skirt and shirt. That was dressed up in my world! And I can remember shopping with my daughter who, even though she had at least five pairs of jeans, was looking for more. I just didn't get what was different about them. I'm sure we all have stories about shopping for denim.
I made my background by smearing the faded jeans ink onto an acrylic block (it's rather pale in the photo, I hope you can see it). I love to combine elegant with rougher elements so I used the pearl stickpin with some beads in the knot of the denim strip, cut from an old pair of painting/cleaning jeans. One just never knows when one will need a pair of old jeans to make a mess in! This was a great challenge! TFL

I wear my jeans until they disintegrate!! We were of like minds this AM. Love the denim tie and those beautiful birds!
