My sister's good friend just lost her 1 1/2 year old son. My sister asked me to make a card for her friend as nothing seemed quite right at the card store. She wanted a teddy bear image.
What a challenge - to make something tasteful, but elegant, fitting for a baby. I found the Less is More challenge to use aqua http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co...53-colour.html
and the Just Us Girls sketch challenge http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot...lenge-122.html.
I put them together and created this.
Please keep Michael, his parents and sister in your prayers.
Thank you for looking.

Techniques: stamped on vellum, then used a stylus to give the bear a white outline, colored his bow with cream chalk, backed with black cardstock -- The raised bumps were created with the Crop-A-Dile

What a difficult card to have to make... I too have had to make cards for the loss of a baby... extreme sympathy for the parents.
This is perfect!
Thanks so much

YOU are a WONDERFUL friend. My heart strings are pulled completely TIGHT... but it's great to know there are friends like you, to lend a loving hand during SUCH a sad time. So glad you were inspired to use the JUST US GIRL'S sketch for this! Thanks, for giving me some well-needed perspective. xo!

I think your card is absolutely beautiful...simple with a "quiet" understanding of the deepest kind of loss. My thoughts & prayers for the family. You did a great job...TFS! God bless...
