Our cousin in Wales (UK) was turning 90 and this is the card I made for his birthday. I was a little stumped at first as to what I should do for a 90th masculine birthday then remembered the Scallop Edge Medallion Tutorial here at SCS which just added a little pizazz to my otherwise plain card. See this link to the tutorial: Scallop Edge Medallion Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers This tutorial is for a single medallion - note that I have 2 layers to my medallion.
The outer dark teal cardstock square was cut to 2-3/4" square and the duck egg blue cardstock square was cut to 2-5/8" square, ie: 1/8" difference between the 2 layers. If you are doing a layered medallion like I did, it is really important that the squares of cardstock are cut accurately so that the scallops line up nicely - otherwise they will look crooked when you try to layer them together and you won't be happy with the end result.
I used a Fiskars border punch to punch the scallops then stamped the sentiment with Peacock pigment ink and heat-set it with clear ep. I lightly inked around the edges of the sentiment panel then popped it up on dimensionals.
Just to add a little something "extra" to the card, I added the 3 green buttons which I have had in my stash for over 30 years.
And that's all there is to explain but if you have any questions, feel free to drop me a PM or a leave a comment below and I will edit my post if necessary.
