Journaling (since you can't make it out):Poor guy. Just look at you! Red hair, freckles. A sunburn just waiting to happen! I sent you off to camp in PA with sunscreen – the potent stuff. But it came back unused, along with an incredibly burnt you! Anyone in their right mind would slather you thick with the stuff! You’d figure the counselor would know better. On your fourth morning, I got a call from him saying you were vomiting non- stop, weren’t making any sense and needed to be sent home. When I got you home, I saw how bad your burn was and called the doc. He said you were in shock from the burn and that was why you were incoherent and nauseous. We fixed you up and this photo was taken several days later. You were hot for months all across your back and I was HOT about the counselor. How dare he! But then again, your counselor doesn’t use the stuff and doesn’t quite believe in it. Grr…. All is forgiven and he feels terrible about what happened. Oh…did I mention your counselor was DAD??

LOL - I just showed my dh this layout and the first thing he did was groan and say, 'Oh I feel SO bad about that - poor kid!!' We kept Dad...and he learned that just cause HE tans, doesn't mean the rest of us fairer folk don't need the spf's!!
I have to edit this to say that when I took photos of Paul (my son) here, he was grinning and I said, "no, you've got to look really sad. Make Dad feel bad!" It has become an on-going joke as we even put the top right photo on the screen saver slide show. My husband really does have a thing about not using the sun screen and scoffs at it! I know, I am mean, aren't I
