When I was a child, I would spend quite a bit of my summertime at a lake cottage close to Green Bay in Wisconsin. At first my parents rented and then they purchased a place. To say that my summers were mostly idyllic would be an understatement. No schedule to speak of, nothing to go to bed or get up for, everything you could wish for as a kid. So that's what I thought about as I made this collage of all things related to those summers. My mother's window boxes, bird watching, butterfly hunting, swimming with our dogs, dreaming, reading, making crafts, refreshing ourselves. However my Mother worked herself to the bone so we could have that kind of summer. Now I understand how much work that was for her. I wish I had some flower soft for my window box but all I could think of were some small half pearls.

What a wonderful collage and a wonderful post that I enjoyed reading. The pearls served you well for the window box.

This is super. Up north place on the lake. Wow. I love the way you represented it. The bg texture paper is really nice. Perfect - just like your vacations.
