It only takes one power outage for you to thank your Heavenly Father for light. Something we take for granted yet need so disparately. My challenge response card is therefore also inspired by recent power outages during the Seattle snowstorm this year.
I used Basic Grey (Stampin' Up!). It is very dark so my only disappointment was that it looks black in the picture. Otherwise I LOVE this card, which uses shades of a single yellow marker to create 'light'. I will be sending this small note with a personal message inside to a friend who lost light for several days...just to let her know that I care. Thanks for the challenge LateBlossom!

1. A one-layer card is defined as a single layer of card stock folded in half. No other layers allowed.
2. Use white, gray, and a pop of bright color. (Black is allowed for sentiments if necessary.)
