Here's a fun birthday card I put together for my husband's 50th birthday last Friday. He was SERIOUSLY FREAKING out about this milestone, so I purposely kept black out of the color combo and made it bright, festive and happy. Thanks, Joan, for the Baker's Twine inspiration. I used some to *hang up* my pennants. TLC360 ~ Twine it Up!! ~ (1/16/12) by joan ervin at Splitcoaststampers
I started by stamping the balloons with Basic Gray onto Just Add Cake dsp. I stamped them again on Whisper White cs with Island Indigo, Wild Wasabi and Poppy Parade, cut them out and popped them up. I then just added my pennants (Just Add Cake dsp), Baker's Twine and a scalloped piece of Basic Gray cs along the bottom to anchor my ballons. Finally, I added my sentiment banner and called it good.

You are so much NICER than me - I would have had black all over it with some kind of "over the hill" sentiment. I'm so mean. I love the creativity you used with his card. The balloon, baker's twine, the size of the card. You did it all and then some. Bet your DH is glad he's married to you and not me! However, I've been good and have made my DH an anniversary card this month, a birthday card for tomorrow and already have his Valentine's Day card ready. He won't get re-carded as usual. Although, I hid his b/day card and now I can't find it. If I can't, I'll just have to print it off my gallery - gosh, why does he stay with me?????
