What a fun morning! I started out helping my 5 year old son to make a paper propeller for a boat he was building, and ended up with this card using some scraps of retired ribbon and DSP. The handles are chopped down toothpicks.

To make the pinwheels, I punched out squares of DSP, then using scissors, cut from the corner towards the middle but not all the way - do this with each corner. Then you simply fold a corner of each side into the middle, overlapping each other a bit, push a hole through all the layers (I used a SU Piercing Tool) and push through a brad to hold it all together. Hope that helps!
