Lesley, (Marleygo) issued the Twisted Sisters Challenge for this week, asking us who our BFF was, how long you have known her, and why she is your best female friend. Make a card with a floral background, and send it to your BFF.
Sissy Les, this has made me smile all week, to think of my BFF. My Bestie is a gal God sent to me in the very darkest days of my life. We had never met, or spoken, just swapped cards and comments on SCS. I had been gone about a week to care for my mom, and this sweet stranger missed me! She dialed 411, and asked for the number to the hospital where she thought I may be. (who does that?) Your Bestie! You know, the phone rang at the desk of that hospital, just as I was passing by. When I first heard her voice on the phone, I did not know her, and yet her words made me feel as if I was being hugged. That was over five years ago. She called me everyday to check on me and my mom, and when I got home she continued to write, call and send cards, and that gave me peace. And laughs...
We decided we would meet someday, and we did that in Colorado (Mothermark Territory) in July, 2008. She had sparkly blue eyes (full of mischief), blond hair and a smile that would melt your heart. We shared a room, shopped like crazy, ate too much. We saw together with Cindy (and my Bestie danced with the usher at the theater, thus teaching me the power of “Crazy Fun”!) We churched together, prayed together and her family has become my family. Our hubby's are Besties too, and that blesses us both! And when it was all said and done, I still had my eyes and kidneys when I left Colorado! (Lol- sorry, inside joke!)
I can always count on this Bestie, we share everything and I always say that only she & Jesus know everything about me. That is a “God” friend, and He only gives the best. You may know this gal, the originator and Driver of the Twisted Sistah Bus. And if ever you are blessed enough to meet Shirley (wannabcre8tive) IRL, she will teach you the secret of the straws....yes, she will!
I was tickled to pieces to find this digi image at Squigglefly, and is called “Just Two Crazy Ole GalFreinds”. How perfect is that! Thanks for this challenge Sissy, it gave me some precious memories! (and don't ask why she calls me Flirt- I think it's just because it rhymes with Shirt!) Many hugs to all the SCS Sistahs too- each one is precious in their own way, top of the Bus, or not! And remember friends don't let friends be SILLY all alone! LYMI
Squigglefly image was colored with Copics, paper pieced, and masked to add background. Shirt's sunglasses have Crystal Effects, and the flowerbed was made with Kitty Kits from Rubbernecker.
Thanks for looking!
Psst..... Shirt...watch my purse!

Lordy, Lordy, Sistah Pat, what kind o' trouble did you two get into now???? ROFLOL, this card is a ONE OF A KIND, silliest and most fun card I have ever seen!!
Love the paper piecing (wondering if you would really wear those big flowers and not have your "big hair"), but that is Shirt - ALL OVER - leading you through the posies, and probably into trouble with the twinkle in her eye and that crazy sense of humor!! Love the fun circles and wild polka dots, and "little flower polka dots" all paired up with the best sentiment for the job! Great embellishing and the best all around story and card I have ever seen to match up with a twisted challenge.
I felt the same the first time I met Shirley too - she surprised the heck out of me, yet talking to her and meeting her, I felt as if I knew her my whole life - Pat, she brings out the best in you, and you bring out the best in her, and that's what besties do! God bless ya both!
LYMI!

I love this card and you made it in my favorite colors which you know so well. LYM.

Wow - love the technique: silliness, pure and simple - I can handle that one Great BFF card - funny how God knows what we want when we can't even figure out whether we can get one foot in front of the other, and then He blesses us by sending someone into our lives. Hugs to you!
