I have had the idea in my head for this card since Judy was named QFTD last week. When I looked through her amazing gallery of cards, I noticed several had a window as the focal point....a fabulous die which is now on my wish list! I did not pick one specific card to CASE but just went with the window theme. Since I did not have the die, I improvised with my Window Dressing stamp set and colored it in with Copics. I have one of my little chicks peeping out of the window....not sure how he got in the house! I cut several strips of paper to make the siding for the house (an embossing folder would have been ideal, but I did not have one that would work....I am sure that Holstein has one, but I am a long way away from her! I drew a flower pot and cut it out then punched about a million flowers and leaves and dots to fill up the pot. Then drew my crown and added it for our wonderful Queen! Judy, congratulations and I have thoroughly enjoyed looking through your beautiful gallery of creations! Oh, and it was good "chatting" with you the other day!
P.S. I wish I could have posted this sooner, but time did not permit. I enjoy the QFTD challenges so much and wish I could play every week! I think it is a wonderful way to highlight and honor a talented stamper. If I missed your week, my sincerest apologies but know that I still enjoyed looking at your galleries! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Katie, I always love to see your gallery! This window frame is the best! Love your improvisation girl, and that lil chicken peekin' out is adorable. I see you have a crown for Judy too- and she so deserves that! Beautiful card. (and I still love your lil dogie avatar- too cute!)

Katie, this is so darling. Do you think that someone may have smuggled that chicken in with a Crown Royal bag? It has been known to happen - LOL! I love how the crown is in the flower pot and the chicken looks like she/he is looking for it. You do the greatest QFTD cards! Love your special touches. Hugz.

Love the window and wall details. Very cute chicken poking its head through the window and I like the flowers with the crown. Great job!

This idea I just loved, and will have to try out myself some time. I love the Window Dressing set, and using it with the little brown hen inside is so sweet.
