Made this for my daughter, who is going through a rough patch at college. I found this prayer on one of Becca Feeken's boards on Pinterest and thought the words were so beautiful. Here's a link to the blog that it was pinned from: http://www.risingupward.com/?p=1276
The Celtic heart knot is also a Pinterest find. Here's a direct link to the YouTube video for how to create the knot:
I had kind of a "Goldilocks" moment when creating the knot. In my huge stash of fibers, and ribbons and trims, I first pulled out a heavy white cord, but it was too bulky, then I tried Baker's twine, but that was too thin, so I tried some silky macrame cord, but that was too slippery, tried some leather cord but that was too stiff.....well, you get the idea. Even with my huge number of choices in my stamping/craft supplies, I ended up using a white shoelace....which was just right in consistency, thickness, and color!
I stamped and inked the background with Pretty in Pink and Rose Red ink. The prayer is computer generated/printed. I sprayed the whole thing with Pearl-Ex pearl glitter spray and used light pink Stickles on the Celtic heart knot to give it some sparkle as well.
My daughter loves pink, so the color challenge for this week was perfect!
