Red Sox Fan here today!!! Yes, this is a Yankee card-but it is for someone special. We will put our teams rivalry aside to send some cheer and good well wishes. This card is going to Chris son of Sue aka Coffeestamper. This was so much fun to make as I don't very often make masculine cards.
The corners are a Sizzix die and remind me of baseball diamonds, I used a star cuttlebug folder for embossing. The stars are a Marvy punch and the buttons are from the dollar bin at Michael's. The fancy edging is a Martha Stewart Fleur De Lis punch that I just clipped on the circle. There is a cool inside to this card as I took some A2 cello bags and sewed them to create pockets to hold some Yankee baseball cards I included. You can see that on my blog if you wish.
Please join me in wishing Chris a quick recovery and say a few prayers for him. I don't know if you saw his picture but he is such a cutie and will melt your heart.

I knew just who this was for when I spotted this in the gallery. This is FAN-tastic!! This is simply the ultimate card for a Yankees fan and so full of special detail that I don't know where to begin to express that. I'm sure that this is one souvenir that Chris will always cherish and probably frame for posterity. Your creativity is only surpassed by your kindness. Hugz, my friend!

Carol - this is so amazing! I meant to comment before, but I am having issues pulling up your blog to full size and I can't get to the comment section with it really small. I am going to try and get that solved this weekend! This card is so vivid and so wonderful. Seriously - it is totally awesome. Let's put this on the list of cards you can teach me how to make when I come visit! Hugz!
