Saw a lot of Western styled cards in the gallery, so I was inspired to make one myself. Besides, Twine it Up! sounds a little Western don't ya think? hehe.....details....
I found a flower that I crocheted awhile back using embroidery thread so that is my "twine". I also found this foil embossed sticker that I thought would make a great frame for my flower but wasn't sure how I was going to achieve that.
After seeing so many Western style cards the "belt buckle" just hit me. SO on a white cs panel, I drew in the belt, rubbed on brown liquid applique then heated it up. Worked perfectly for my belt idea plus this gives you a suede look and feel. Had a die cut button, colored with a bic marker, versamarked and clear ep. Set aside.
Put flowers and buttons on my shirt using some Stamps by Judith stubs. Colored with bic markers, versamarked and clear ep'd. Added some doodle lines in hopes that it looked like a Western stitch.
For my jeans, I sponged on denim ink and stippled some whisper white to age them also added some criss cross lines with acrylic paint and a script brush.
Put my buckle on the belt, then the whole outfit on a black card. Hope this looks like what it is supposed to, a shirt, jeans, belt and buckle.
Joan thanks for the great challenge. Have a great week everyone!....TFL :0)
