I started out for a couple days wanting to honour this weeks featured stamper LInda or HOLSTEIN. She had such a wonderful gallery it took soooo long to pick a card...lol...even having to stop looking one day and continue on today...:0) Here is the one I finally chose to work on...QFTD86 Karen you are loved by Holstein at Splitcoaststampers
I used a different picture and ribbon, embossing folder...I haven't done a black stamped picture before so when I saw this one ( a few times), I thought it would be a perfect time to try this out. Was harder then I though getting it dark enough but it was fun.
I first stamped it with the white and started coloring it with a water pen and inks, then tried a bit of gel pens and then when I was doing the dots in paint I added a bit of paint to brighten it a bit more. Punched the border, added the sentiment gems and ribbon.
I Then also realized I could fit this in to ODBD which was another challenge I wanted to catch using word play with the word " WINTER "
SO I used...W....white paint and paper
I.....INk..pens and pads
N....Nestabilities and needle
T..only letter I couldnt think of...:0)
E...Embossing folders
R....Ribbon
...I also wanted to use my new ODBD stamp set simple things but the lettering was just a tad too beg for the area so went with the one from stamping up...vintage vogue.
Using that stamp reminded me of the new mothly dirty dozens challenge of " Mind your manners" And this stamp says a lot which it is nice to let people know that thye are being so kind in a world where we need so much more of it, which will lift people up...:0)
...I am going to stop this essay...lol...and get some sleep as its again 2 a.m....lol thanks for visiting...:0)
...P,S....oh yahI learned you need to use pigment ink for this...:0)

Oh Wendy, where to start! I have never tried to do the Black Magic technique and think you have done a marvelous job. Your card is so vintage, and the sentiment is lovely. Your black pearls and touch of lace are knock out girl! Beautiful, beautiful work! LYMI
