Today's Featured Stamper is Holstein, aka Linda. She has a lovely gallery with oh so many possibilities to CASE, Besides creating so many cards, she is a great supporter of the rest of us. Congratulations!
No, the 100 is not for Linda - the oldest sister of a friend of mine will celebrate her 100th birthday in a few months - and she still lives on her own in a retirement apartment. WOW! She deserves a special card, so I found one of Linda's that worked for me.
Her card is here: F4A62 Mothers day by Holstein at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the same layout and colors. My image is similar, but I used a different EF and sentiment. I replaced her pretty butterfly with the 100, and the ribbon is different.
Here is a challenge that wants a monochromatic in turquoise - lots of white here, but the color is a shade of turquoise: http://digistamps4joy.blogspot.com/
This also worked for a "red letter day" challenge here http://www.simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/
The explanation is that originally special days were marked in red on the calendar. This is a little different take, with the number of birthdays rather than the date being highlighted. I used a red "99" for her card last year, so definitely wanted a different color.
ES: Serendipity! I gave this to my friend - she said her sister regularly uses a turquoise tablecloth!
