When I saw today's Ways to Use It challenge was to use stickers, I thought I'd have to skip it since I wasn't aware of owning any and went on to make my wedding card. Then I remembered these definition sentiments and checked them out, and they are stickers. I stuck mine onto a piece of cardstock so that I could pop it up on an embossed heart, which is cut free hand. If you find that tricky you can google a heart (or any object) in images, and use the outline for a template. Last year I did wedding invitations for our neighbor and she wanted lace covered, and this is one of the card bases that was left over. What a job, each card had lace stretched over it and glued on the inside, so they had to have a liner glued in to cover up the edges. I added some ribbon which was wrapped around a Christmas present and a vintage button - got a jar of them in the St. Georges Market in Belfast's city center.

I hope you were paid about a million dollars for doing these invites as they are over the top beautiful as well as labor intensive. Oh, just thought, maybe they were a labor of love which also shows!

what a lovely wedding card Bridget! what a project to make invitations in this design!!! Love the lace around the card (looks just like the lace I used on my wedding dress that I made myself many years ago!) that plaid embossed heart looks wonderful with the ribbon and button too!

This is stunning, Bridget! While the lace is gorgeous, it does seem like a daunting task...I have trouble with a couple of layers of ribbon sometimes! Beautiful wedding card.
