This is my very first attempt at sewing on a card. I have wanted to do it for quite some time but was always a little intimidated by the process. I do not sew well on a machine, so I had to get some help setting everything up but I finally was able to sew the panels together. I was really excited with how it was turning out and was quite proud of myself, when...I realized something...this is so embarassing, but I feel I can tell you, my SCS family.....I sewed my ENTIRE card shut! Sigh....I pondered for a while, and the thought of tearing it apart and starting over was just too much to bear, sooooooooo, I just folded another card base and attached the whole thing too it. I present to you my first sewing attempt AND the first ever 500 LB card...LOL! I have NO idea how much postage this thing would take, but I think this will just be decoration in my craft room to remind me of "what not to do"! Hope you have a great day and I hope I was able to give you a little laugh...
As for the details of the card, I just stamped this precious little girl from Snow Day(MFT---I just LOVE the Pure Innocence stamps!) and colored her with my Copics. I added a little Paper Glaze to the snowballs and antiqued the edges with a little tea dye ink. The sentiment and snowflake stamp are from Tag Its #8(PTI).

Sounds so much like something I would do! LOL! You are soooo funny. I think it came out awesome - can't wait to see what you sew next! Love the little girl and you colored her wonderfully. Oh, I didn't mention that I love the different paper colors you used - so fun.

I have yet to attempt to stitch on a card. I love how it looks but just haven't gotten up the nerve. Thanks for sharing your "what not to do" tip! Very cute card. Love the colors.

Oh Katie! You are a bird in this world! And I do believe we are backwoods cousins or something, cuz I would do this, and then tell too! Bwahahahaha! Girl, I didn't even know how to thread my machine, Bubba did. (Did I ever mention, he is the MAN?) Yeah.... And I had no idea why that stoopid dang machine of mine would not change stitches.....when the needle was down. Uh-huh....Pat Rose taught me hoe to use my machine. Sad case, I am...
All that, just to say, I love your spirit, and the heart you put into your work. And your coloring and shading is a coveted thing in this house Missy! Hugs....
