I had seen a butterfly easel card on this blog:http://addinktivedesigns.blogspot.co...-tutorial.html
I did not use her directions because I was downstairs and my computer was upstairs! Too lazy to walk down and get it. This is a very talented SU Demo in Australia and her name in Bron.
This is for the Inspiration Challenge and I did not pick a particular item but I wanted to convey the whimsical feel of the site for our inspiration.
Sadly today my daughter had to put her beloved Lab down. She had cancer and the time had come. It was so hard for my daughter to do this but she knew she must. So this is a little sympathy card. I only have one dog image and already used that when her other dog passed away.
I started with a base of Ballet Blue and my butterfly paper is from Prima I think. I stamped with sympathy on the base of the card. I added some pearls on the back of the butterfly and some wee little roses to hold up the easel. It really needs the thickness of card stock to stand up properly. I wanted this to be fairly simple. My message is that Goldie is in heaven chasing the butterflies.
Thanks for looking

Oh, how beautiful, Sylvia, this is another exquisite easel card - but I'm sorry that you needed to make it, and that your daughter had to say goodbye to her beloved pet.

What a wonderful idea to use a different kind of shape for an easel card. I'm so sorry about your daughter's dog, it is always sad to lose a pet.
