I made this card to honor our Queen for the day Wendy (wendybell) based on her awesome b/w Christmas card WMW Black & White Christmas by Wendybell at Splitcoaststampers
She is also our hostess for today's Free for All Challenge where she gave us a recipe of:
1. A 3-D Flower (or more than one, if you'd like!)
2. A gem or gems (rhinestone, pearl, etc.)
3. Embossing Folder
4. Diecut/Punch
5. Designer/Patterned Paper
I decided on newspaper flowers so I punched 2-3 scallop circles for each flower then cut out each petal and sponged. I added half pearls for the centers. The leaves were die cut then embossed in the Vintage Wallpaper ef (as was the Cherry Cobbler panel.) and sponged. I used plain Baker's Twine for the bow over a strip of Basic Black which was layered over my dp. I stamped the greeting then punched it out with the Designer Label punch. I then spritzed homemade glimmer mist and waved my card through the spray.

Pretty card..I love the newspaper flowers, an interesting addition and contrast to the backgrounds. I had to laugh when you described your glimmer mist application..I can relate!
