Happy New Year all. A fresh beginning...encouragement for all the positive changes begun last year and going forth...I love the New Year. Thanks to one of our new SC hostesses, Taylor for the very cool sketch tonight. It spurred me on to complete a card for a brave friend who is moving on and up!
When I saw the circles, I couldn't help but think about the new year...and the Cosmo Cricket number paper from 'Joy Ride' was begging to be used. I added the sentiment: The Journey is the Reward along the side and also a Tim Holtz fragment with the inital "T". My strips are a piece of upholstery fabric along the vertical and paper crimped on the horizontal.
Thanks for having a look and hope your week is going well.

Susan, I love this great paper and the way 2012 is featured on your card. I'm setting some new goals for myself for 2012 and I will be spending much time in prayer that God will help me reach some of these. Downsizing my body will take the help of divine intervention. He knows I can't do this alone.

I love your card!! This is so creative and fun. I love the textured part. What a great card to start the New Year with!! I agree with you - I'm psyched on the newness and positive outlook on a fresh year. May it be a great one for you Susan!!

I wanted to put the year into those circles too, when I looked at the sketch this morning, only then I went in a different direction altogether. It certainly looks great - maybe I'll have to make another one this evening .
